The two options of portrait sessions you have with Lavender and Light are full sessions and mini sessions. Let’s talk a little bit about which session is right for your family.

A full session lasts around an hour, can be at any location, can include two locations, two outfits and you receive quite a few images. At the time I am writing this blog, I include at least 40 edited images for a full session, but the final gallery normally has more. Because the session is an hour, we can take the must needed shots (everyone looking at the camera) and then also move into some more creative and candid photos. The gallery is full of images that you will want to hang on your wall, as well as all the little details that you will cherish forever.

Spring is always an exciting time in the Carolinas because that means wedding season is back in full swing. The trees are green again, the air is warm and a cool breeze is normally blowing.

Sunny & Dewy had the most beautiful day at Circle M Farm,(https://www.beaumondevenues.com/circle-m-farm) a venue by Beau Monde.(https://www.beaumondevenues.com/) The white farmhouse is the perfect place for the wedding party to spend the night after the rehearsal dinner, so they wake up at the venue on the wedding day.

Sometimes a couple comes along and it feels like I have known them forever. For me, Makayla and Trevor were those people. I was met with smiles, hugs, and felt right at home as we hopped on the side by side to drive to our first location on their family land. Makayla wanted the photos to be full of green nature.

Bridal sessions are just fun in my opinion. The opportunity to wear your wedding dress and get all fixed up for another day. Plenty of time to capture the beauty and joy that you have as a bride. The main question I get asked is “what do you do with the pictures?’

It is always the best compliment when a fellow photographer reaches out to get pictures made. Melissa is so talented and owns Melissa Storey Photography, providing maternity, newborn and family photography to the Carolinas. Needless to say, we had plenty to talk about! We both admitted to each other that we were nervous before the session. I was nervous because she knew what was going on and I wanted her to be happy.
