What to wear to your session…

This is where a lot of people have a difficult time making decisions, and it might cause some stress to decide what to wear. There are a few things I want you to keep in mind and I hope this helps. If you need help when choosing outfits, please reach out and I am happy to help!

Look in your closet first. The perfect outfit might be hiding in the back of your closet. If not, this is a great time to go shopping!

Pick your outfit first. Let’s be honest, the ladies care the most about what they wear. So choose that first. Then you can build other outfits around that! Makes it a little easier to have a starting point.

Our goal is bright and dreamy images, and what you choose to wear does play a part in that. Just think about a guy wearing dark jeans and a black button up compared to wearing khaki pants and a light blue button up. Immediately those images are going to be lighter!

It is better to wear things that look good together instead of being too matchy matchy with the other people in your session. If you are getting your family dressed for a session, choose at least three colors that go well together. Then someone can wear a solid, someone can wear a print with one of the colors in it. Once you narrow it down to a few colors, it is easier to make choices. Here are some examples!

When getting ready for your engagement or maternity session… this is the time to be a little bold. Have a pair of cute heels that you don’t normally have a chance to wear? This is your moment! It is important that you still dress like yourself. Because you need to be comfortable and confident in what you wear. It is a great idea to bring two outfits. One more casual and the other a bit dressier. I think a long flowy dress is always a safe option that photographs beautifully.
